Patricia Duncan is first and foremost a mother,  a grandmother and daughter. She is also the founder  CEO at McKinney Carey Inc. She loves helping people with disabilities and their families navigate through life as their needs change.

Patricia spent the majority of her career in the healthcare industry gaining experience in areas such as transitioning individuals from high school after graduating, transitioning individuals from state run facilities to community living, including residential living, foster care and private home care.

Patricia was inspired by her stepdaughter who is diagnosed with profound IDD(Intellectual disability disorder). She decided to pursue a career and  training and develope an environment where the special-needs individuals could be excepted, cared for, and thrive.

The first three facilities were located in Houston Texas for special needs children. In 2000 Patricia expanded it the Sugar Land area and opened a special needs training facility and after school program.  She later expanded into foster care and 24-hour residential care and in-home care  in the counties of Fort Bend, Harris, Waller, Austin and Wharton.  

Patricia serves as a professional development mentor, plans and participates in workshops and acts as a resource and referral for services through out her community.  Her studies include general business, finance/accounting, early childhood development and is certified as an investigator of incidents for the ICF/IDD state programs.

Patricia has been in the healthcare industry industry for 20+ years, where she provides and coordinates care in four 24 hour residential care facilities,  30 foster companion care homes, in-home support and day habilitation.  She employees 35 staff,  30 contract foster care providers and countless others such as physicians, registered nurses, licensed vocational nurses,  dentist, psychiatrist, psychologist, dietitians, pharmacies, etc.

Outside of the office Patricia enjoys reading. She also loves crafting with multi-media and paper. She is an artist, as well as a devoted member of her church.
